"OKC BBQ KING VISITS The KLOCKS."

While walking through Russell’s on our second break visiting the folks in attendance I happened to meet Charles Smith from a BBQ place called LEO’s BBQ. He was recently featured on the FOOD NETWORK show called “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives” hosted by Guy Fieri. Charles stopped me to let me know how much fun he was having listening to the band and started to tell me a little about LEO’s.

Located within blocks of Lincoln Park in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City, Leo’s has been cranking out BBQ for years with recipes filled with LOVE, as he calls it on the show, that started with his father. Charles uses Hickory in the slow cooking process for everything from spare ribs and sausage links to bologna. Look out for the hot BBQ sauce that is made from an old family secret recipe.

We have yet to try out the place but it sounds so good and we are looking forward to the next time we place in Oklahoma City as we will be making a trip to visit Charles and his staff at LEO’s on Saturday September 22nd at 1:00 p.m. Feel free to make plans and join us for lunch.
