This is a show we perform every year and not only is it a lot of fun but it is for such a worthwhile event for us to be involved with as a band. David Young is a Fort Smith Police Officer that we have gotten to know well and he and his lovely wife have become good friends with the band. We were the first band to perform this event and hopefully we will continue to be involved. The turnout was really good although we were a bit concerned if we would have anyone show up during the setup earlier in the day. The reason was because of something we haven’t seen in a while around our neck-of-the-woods – RAIN. That’s right, Rain and lots of it. It just seemed like right after the setup was complete, the skies said, “Oh, the Fallen Officer’s Fun is going on. All rain must stop until the event is over.” When the crew had finished tearing down and loading up the truck, the skies opened up again and it started to rain. I have never seen the weather cooperate more… Thanks go out to all the sponsors of the event.
